STATE/REGIONAL PRAYER COMMISSION GUIDELINES

The State or Regional Prayer Commission is a voluntary team of mature, prayerful leaders who serve at the request of the Administrative Bishop for the simple purpose of stewarding a regional/state prayer process. The group is non-political. Each state or region, develop guidelines, molds the team to fulfill their needs and serve their pastors and churches.

In an effort to steward the prayer effort, a number of states have now named a Prayer Leadership Team. Some teams are composed of pastors and others completely of laypeople. Some are couples. Every state is unique - and yet, the common thread is the desire to raise the level of prayer among pastors, and in the people.

On May 31, Pentecost Sunday, the whole world will be praying.

Currently, 219 nations have declared their intent to participate in the annual Global Day of Prayer. Isaiah 56:7 is the theme: "These I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations."
